Top Ten Beer Nations of the World - 10-1
The smallest country on the list has our number 10 spot. Luxembourg and all her peoples spend each year guzzling back 84 litres of beer per person. How do they maintain their 100% literacy rating?
Does anyone actually understand a drunk Fin? Finland comes in at number 9 with 85 litres consumed per man woman and child.
We cross to the land of Lego for the number 8 spot. Denmark with it's very liberal drinking rules allows for 90 litres of beer per person per year
Is there any flavour a Belgium beer house has not tried to mix. When it comes to creating new brews, this UN friendly country comes in at number 7 with 93 litres per person.
That's so typical for our number 6 spot to come up just short. The United Kingdom and her residents pour back 99 litres of the amber necter every year. Just two more pints per person and they'd have a numner they could hang their hat on.
The Austrian's pick up the number 5 spot well ahead of the UK with 108 litres.
In the 70s, Australia held the number 3 spot, but since the introduction of Ready To Drink lolly-pop alcho-fizzes and the resurgence of home grown wine, they have slipped to number 4. Never the less, Aussies find time to not only dominate the world in cricket, but to also chug down 110 litres of beer per person, every year.
Thanks to that well documented party they have every year, the German's pick up number 3 and pour back 115 litres of brew. That's like filling a 3 person jacuzzi with beer and inviting the neighbours over!
Number 2...The luck of the Irish! With a massive 131 litres, working out to be around 233 pints of beer each!
And the number one beer consuming country on the planet. Give it up for 157 litres of beer per person and the Czech Republic!
