WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY...

MATTS FROM OSLO SAYS... "Possibly the greatest start to a night we've ever had! The rules followed us around from bar to bar, and people kept drinking by our crazy rules all night long, well after the game was over... it was hillarious!" SIMON FROM BERGEN SAYS... "I bought one for myself, and now, all my friends are getting one for Christmas!" JULIA FROM PARIS SAYS... I study out here, and have played this game before in the States... but this version made it possible for everyone to play and get smashed straight away. No more hassel with what each card means. We love it. DAVID FROM PERTH SAYS... "Finally someone did it. Why didn't I think of that?! Take the greatest drinking game no-one can ever remember and make it memorable, more fun and stick it in the coolest game box ever. Genius" EMMA FROM GOTHENBERG SAYS... "We played it at my friends birthday party.. NO WINNERS JUST LOSERS is the perfect slogan for this game. We got so into it, people were barking like a dog, high fiving players to their left, and screaming out "my name is Earl" before ever sip. So funny!" MARIA FROM TROMSO SAYS... "Brilliant.. enough said" TYSON FROM LONDON SAYS... "I have the great privlage of knowing Adam personally, so when he bought his game over, things got messy very quickly. By the end of it, the girls we were playing with were down to their underwear, pole dancing to a poster of Uma Therman, and the two of us were left with big smiles and happy drunken memories. The boy's a genius!" ANNE-MARTE FROM OSLO SAYS... "I went to one of the release party's. One of the greatest nights I've ever had. This game is perfect for pre-parties. I know you say it's been around for a long time, but I'm only 18, so this is my first Ring of Fire experience, and i'm so glad i get to play this version as my first!! We play it every weekend!"

WHAT THE GAME BOX SAYS...

The funniest drinking game ever invented has now been brought to life. It took one of the best bartender's in the world to think it up, but finally there is a drinking game that never gets boring, always works, and is guaranteed to make you the life of every party. Ring of Fire has assumed many different names and has been played with many different rules but this is the first and only definitive version! In Ring of Fire, every player acts as Law Enforcer, Judge and Jury. Even your closest friends will be calling for you to "drink" when they catch you pointing, or telling you to "take another one" as you proceed to call them every name under the sun. People you love and trust will penalize you without warning and a seemingly basic counting game will turn into a nightmare before your very eyes! The pressure on your mind (and bladder) will reach an all time high, as you and your friends choose card after card. Everyone loses! How much you lose, is up to you.

"BEERS OF THE WORLD" SAID

Issue 16 February/March 2008 PARTY GAME GETS A FACE LIFT A Master Bartender and canny entrepeneur has released a board game designed to liven up your parties. Adam MacDonald's Ring of Fire is an "official version" of a legendary drinking game that has been perfected by students over many years. The game, also known as Kings, involves a deck of cards spread out on a table, face down, with an empty cup in the centre. The play goes around the table with each player drawing one card at a time. Each card has a different action associated with it, involving the cup, silly rules, dares and forfeits. The game comes with dedicated equipment including glass, coasters, cards and the all important rule book that will bring to an end the pre-play arguements.

WHAT FHM SAYS...

ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF NORWEGIAN FHM ARTICLE TIME TO PLAY Autumn and Christmas time is game time. Since your time is precious, and ours isn't really worth that much, we have tested a couple of newly launched games, a soon to be released pre party winner, and a good old classic just for you. Ring of Fire: In a short while Ring of Fire will be launched. It's a game that promises to give you no winners just losers, and similar to other drinking games, the point is to get your friends as drunk as possible. This is partly what life is about at FHM as well, so we sat down and had a talk with the creator Adam MacDonald to test the game before it gets launched. "You're not aloud to Swear, Point or Go to the Toilet and if you're sitting down to play you're sitting down to play," says MacDonald. He's FHM own favourite bartender and alcohol expert and he's won the world championship in drink mixing. So if there's someone who knows how to get people drunk, it's him. "This is an ice breaker on a pre-party, preferably with a couple of girls you don't know. Two or three rounds of this and you're in the perfect mood" he says. We begin the game and Stein-Havard points at Mats with both hands and tells him to start. "You're pointing and with two hands, that is two sips of your beer as punishment" Adam says. "Shit" says Stien-Havard. "That's another one" says MacDonald. Two seconds later Thomas has pointed and followed up with a double swear, which leads to 3 gulps of beer. 'The great thing about this is that during the game you can pick one of your fellow players and gang up on him" Adam says. That is because a big part of the deck is Home and Away cards, where the Home card means that you take the number of sips that is on the card, and the Away card means that you can choose for someone else to drink. "Five sips and an Away card, Mats if you would?" says Stein-Havard. "3 sips Away, Mats if you would again" says Thomas. "Screw you, you fucking pussy's" Mats argues which leads to three more sips, and on it goes. Some of the cards are Category Cards which means you pick a subject and you say a word that is connected to that subject. It goes around the table and who ever can't come up with something to say has to take a sip. One of the other cards gives you the opportunity to ask someone a question that has to be answered with a question, and if you don't, you have to take another sip. One card is the Thumbs Down card. The last one to put their thumb on the table, takes a sip. And so on and so on. All together there is a lot of beer to be drunk. The loser however is the one who finds the 4th Ring of Fire Card because he has to take the final shot of something strong, waiting in the shooter glass in the middle of the board. "And there you go, that's the 4th card, Mats, please drink" says Adam. Mats downs the losers shot. "Let's go again" says Thomas, Stein-Havard and Mats in union. You can be one of the first ones to get this game, go to www.yourdrinkinggame.com to register your interest. The verdict: Suitable for, anyone who likes drinking, board games and fighting in a friendly environment. Not Suitable for: Anyone who has broken their index finger or who is suffering from Tourette's syndrome.

WHAT DRINKSTUFF.COM SAYS...

Brilliant game! played it at my birthday party with 14 others and its the best game any of us have played in a big group. It gets alot harder after a couple of rounds!!! Would definately recommend it Laura Wheeler - London Nov 2007 This game is awesome, it does'nt matter what drinking skill everyone has, as it works just as well when everyone's drinking there favourite tipple. So if you think you're a hardcore drinker just up the strength of your beverage! 20 pounds may sound a bit steep but, it turned a pretty average night into a true night to remember! It's the best drinking game I've played and defiantly worth the money! Chris Blackwell - Bristol Nov 2007 This game is hilarious. I wasn't sure if it would be any better than just using plain playing cards but it definitely added to the fun. The rules of the game are slightly different to what we were used to but they seem to be well thought out causing beverage consuming all around. Ben O'Neill - Southampton, UK Oct 2007 This game is brutal!! Andy Collinson - London Oct 2007
